Getting Ready for the First Race

The E-30 was taken out to Pukekohe for the third day of testing and practice on Friday.

With two days of practice at Pukekohe already under the belt, producer and driver, Gordon, headed out to Pukekohe on Friday to try get just a couple more seconds off his best lap time. Racing Ray Williams, at Pukekohe with his CRC sponsored Porsche, had a few words of advice and took the E-30 out for a couple of laps to see what the car was like. The team went out there to see the action. We will have that story on the show this week.

Gordon’s first ever race will be this weekend at Pukekohe Raceway. He will be racing against various other BMW’s including 17 E-30’s. The 30-odd strong field will make for close racing - hopefully we won’t need to do any panel work after!

Other classes on the day will include the Formula 5000’s, Tracer and Leisuretime Saloons, Sports Cars and Super GT’s to name a few! We’ll see you there!
