The BMW E30 Project

BMW have started a new class of race cars - BMW 318’s and 320’s. All cars in the class must be kept standard but there are a few things we can do to make the car go faster. Gordon thought this would be a great project which will be updated on the show. Gordon will drive it at events this summer. We bought an old BMW 318 off Trade Me which, 50km’s after having the engine reconditioned, came to a halt on the Southern Motorway. So we bought the car and towed it back to the North Shore. So what are we doing on it now?

New Shocks and Spings for the E30

Tuesday 14th November:

A couple of weeks ago, we visited Stocks Shocks to get everything we needed for the suspension for the E30. The E30 is now back at Bellars Motor Works. After a bit of paint and panel work by Richard, they started on the suspension which should be finished this week.

The car is coming along nicely and will soon be race ready. Our RaceTech seats and belts need to be fitted and then off to the sign writers!
